Role Description

The individual in this position will work in the Global Finance Standardization (GFS) Project team whose Project Charter is to help free up Local Finance resources from routine transaction processing to focus on value added activities and business decision support to improve the growth of sales.

The position will report to the Project Director, Process and Systems Standardization, GFS Asia Pacific.

Job Responsibilities
  • Review, and be responsible for, the overall development and integration of business requirements into the design of the process
  • Define clear objectives for the proposed process design.
  • Lead the identification of innovations and improvement ideas
  • Validate the design with the stakeholders to ensure that the design satisfies the requirements.
  • Ensure all compliance and internal controls requirements are provided for in the process design
  • Owner of ARIS process documentation
  • Define the business solutions and structures needed to realize the project including the identification of the appropriate resources to support the project
  • Provide status to project management, managing risks and issues, communicating across the leadership team, and escalating where necessary.
  • Define the end-to-end business process including procurement and KPIs necessary to support achieving the standardization objectives
  • Review prototypes, solution blueprints, and project scope to ensure that the needs of the business are being met.
  • Manage all interdependencies with other key business initiatives and ensure that conflicts and integrations points are adequately considered and addressed.
  • Ensure timely engagement of other team members (service management, Change Improvement, etc) to ensure all inputs from the shared services centres are adequately factored into the design and that to facilitate smooth implementation
  • Continuously ensure that alignment of project initiatives with the global design

Qualifications, Experience and Competencies


Required
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in Finance, including Account Receivable
  • Computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Access).
  • Strong Accounting/Financial and Process Engineering Skills
  • Excellent communication skills and able to work with intra- and cross- functional teams.


Desirable
  • Knowledge of Business Processing Outsourcing
  • CPA would be a strong advantage
  • Experience in Ariba is preferred

Location

Position location is Singapore. This position requires approximately 30% regional travel.
